- Read "Working with Nature" (p. 39-46) from Change We Must
- Nana Veary says, "I love the way everyday things became extraordinary and extraordinary things became commonplace when the Hawaiians worked with nature" (p. 45). List these things (several) Nana Veary talks about in the chapter.
- Review the Level Questions Handout and formulate a good level three question. The question can be inspired by anything in Nana Veary's book so far. Discuss this question in your group. Be prepared present your question and the main points of your discussion to the class.
- Watch this TED Talk Video:

- Write a short entry in your diary about your challenge virtue.
- Collect/take photos.
- JOURNAL #4: List 10 things you are thankful for, things in your life that have brought you fulfillment, joy, happiness and/or wonderful things. Choose one of them. You have four options:
- Write a thank you letter to the person or thing you are grateful for. Don't worry if this is an inanimate object. No one will think you are weird. :) (wp or hand-written)
- Write a medium-to-long poem (or a collection of short poems) of gratitude. (wp or handwritten)
- Compose and perform an original song inspired by your gratitude.(digital audio file/video)
- Create an original art piece (drawing, painting, sculpture, etc) that is inspired by your gratitude for the thing you have chosen.
