- In your groups, read the poem by Hafiz aloud several times. What is the poet saying? What is the lesson he wishes to impart? Explain in a well-developed paragraph. Use textual evidence.
- Discuss: How are Hafiz's and Nana Veary's message similar? Write a well-developed paragraph or two explaining the similarities. Use textual evidence from the poem and Change We Must.

- Read the biographical article about Hafiz or download the .pdf. Discuss whether or not Hafiz displayed any virtues (refer to "Content of Our Character: Ten Essential Virtues"). If so, which ones? If not, why not? Explain in one or two well-developed paragraphs. Use textual evidence from both articles, making sure to cite them properly.
- Print and turn in your work before class ends.

- Continue collecting/taking photos.
- Add an entry in your challenge virtue diary.
- JOURNAL #8: In "God Loves You, I Love you," Nana Veary says, "In each of us, God is functioning through our physical body, and this is why we have to love the physical body and take care of it." Using the quote as a springboard, discuss how you or your generation views the physical body. If you have a relevant, tasteful photo you took, you may attach it at the end of your journal.
